Meet Alyssa

Alyssa will graduate in August 2o23 from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with honors.  Alyssa has some training in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) to help couples through this transitional period of life. Alyssa uses DBT and is trained in EMDR to help clients work through disturbing experiences associated with pregnancy, birth, parenthood, and interpersonal relationships. Alyssa has personal experience with postpartum depression and anxiety after the birth of her three children and knows well what the journey can look like for those who find themselves needing help and support. Alyssa also speaks Spanish and loves working with the Latinx community.

“I feel drawn to working with women and couples in the postpartum period. As a counselor, I can provide empathy, some hope, mindfulness, coping skills, healing and walk with you through what may feel like an overwhelming period of life. I believe you do have the answers within yourself. You just might need someone to point out what those answers are. It would be a privilege to be able to work with you.
